We are inviting members of the BJJ community in Australia to share their story via the BJJ Down Under documentary. The documentary, which is currently being filmed, will detail the history of BJJ in Australia from the early days to the present.
As part of the filming process, gym instructors and competitors from myriad gyms around the country will be interviewed in order to present an unbiased view of BJJ. We will also draw upon archives of old competition footage, interviews, and photos so that we can provide viewers with insights into the rich story of BJJ in Australia and the pivotal moments in our history that have propelled the growth of BJJ both in Australia and overseas. The documentary will be screened nationally in 2022.

As part of our commitment to the promotion of BJJ in Australia, we will also be filming a BJJ in Australia docuseries that will cover the stories of our founding athletes, our gyms, and our up-and-coming competitors. The docuseries will follow a particular athlete, their team, and their involvement in BJJ over a period of several months. The docuseries will also share the lives and insights of some of our best known BJJ personalities. The docuseries will be made available on our BJJ App.
